Debian just mandated reproducible builds

Debian's team has just decided that Debian now must ship reproducible packages. The mandate will start with Debian 14 "Forky".

We think it's great that Debian has taken such decision and it goes in the direction we believe in at StableBuild.

That said, even if Debian enforces the mandate, it's not realistic that all packages be reproducible, some packages will definitely slip through due to various reasons.

Even if all Debian packages were reproducible, StableBuild allows you to pin more than Debian packages (including third-party apt repo for example). On top of that, mirrors sometimes may disappear, that's why keeping your pinned copies matter.
